- JOB SUMMARY*

To provide students with the individually-tailored help, counsel, and learning experience he or she needs to make progress toward established educational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
- Works closely with other teachers to help the students maintain satisfactory classwork, homework, and behavior.
- Determines specific learning or behavioral problems, skill deficiencies, or social adjustment difficulties of students and initiates remediation programs in these areas.
- Provides students with tutoring for other classes.
- Assists students in identifying and dealing with their academic and social problems.
- Establishes and maintains standards of individual student behavior.
- Keep behavioral progress file on each student referred.
- Assist with other needs of the school when requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Necessary to Performance of Essential Functions:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited institution at an acceptable academic level to be determined by the Grand County School District.
- Possess problem solving skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, school staff, district staff, and patrons.
- Communicates effectively.
- Hold and maintain a Utah Driver's License.

- Special assignments as directed by Supervising Teacher or Program Director.
